SPS IPC DRIVES: Bühler Motor reveals its worm gear

Just fits better: optimized size, energy efficient, cost effective

Nuremberg, November 8th, 2017 – Bühler Motor’s stand at this year’s SPS IPC DRIVES trade fair reflects the launch of the new worm gear. “Just fits better” – this is the slogan that the Nuremberg-based manufacturer has adopted for its new solution platform.

A wide range of configuration options combined with a selection of easily combinable DC and BLDC motors mean that a drive can be designed that fits perfectly. The result? An optimally used installation space, improved energy efficiency and increased cost-effectiveness.

And that’s good news for developers in building automation, industrial automation and medical technology. But the new worm gear module can also be put to good use in agricultural machinery or transportation. During development, particular importance was attached to low, well-balanced noise production.

“Classic applications, of course, include door drives such as sliding doors, elevator doors or swinging doors. Thanks to its superb adaptability, we are able to supply the best drive in each case for a wide range of applications”, says Eric Wozniak, Director Product Segment Industrial Solutions at Bühler Motor GmbH.

The key features include a continuous torque of up to 4 Nm and an output of up to 250 W. The gear/motor combinations are available in each case with and without matching encoders.
