Bühler Motor: Dr.-Ing. Sven Urlaub New Director of Thermomanagement Automotive Product Segment

Nuremberg, September 1, 2016 - Dr. Sven Urlaub has been named global Director of the Automotive Thermomanagement product segment of Bühler Motor GmbH effective July 1, 2016. In this position, he succeeds Mounir Kudsi, who has taken over as Vice President for the Central Research & Development division since February 1, 2016.

Bühler Motor is one of the leading suppliers of innovative mechatronic drive solutions, with over 1,750 employees in 10 locations on 3 continents, focusing on the automotive, industrial, medical technology and aviation seat actuation markets.

Dr. Urlaub's core responsibilities include the global roll out and strategic expansion of the successfully introduced bFlow C auxiliary pump family. Five performance classes of auxiliary water pumps are already successfully in series production, the power classes 30, 80 and 120 watt will soon expand the existing portfolio perfectly. With this product spectrum, Bühler Motor is able to cover all conceivable uses beyond the main water pump.

Dr. Sven Urlaub brings a wealth of experience in the field of automotive thermomanagement to his new function. In parallel with his activity as a scientific employee in the Department of Flow and Displacement Machines at Kaiserslautern Technical University, he completed his doctoral thesis on the subject of "Thermomanagement of Motor Vehicle Cooling Circuits". His professional career also initially focused on the design, construction and calculation of cooling circuit components in the Automobile Thermosystems division of Robert Bosch GmbH, his employer for the last 13 years.

Further steps in his career took him into the field of "Innovation and New Business". As Global Product Manager eMobility, he worked on, among other things, the subject of electrical vehicle concepts in the next-but-one generation.
