After a long break due to the covid pandemic, we are finally looking forward to being back at the Aircraft Interiors Expo AIX in Hamburg this year. The aviation show which is dedicated to the cabin and the experience on board. True to the motto "Where cabin concepts take off", we present our new products and services to the world's leading seat manufacturers and airlines. We look forward to reconnect with the global industry and contributing to accelerating the regeneration of the aviation industry.
We would like to use this year's trade fair to present to our customers the holistic approach of our comfort solutions in the field of electric drives and pneumatic systems for aircraft seats. With our broad product portfolio and system know-how, we offer a high degree of scalability of the application as well as everything from a single source (one-stop-shop). With these state-of-the-art solutions, we also enhance the experience for passengers.

New circumstances require new measures and new ways. The global COVID-19 pandemic has turned many things upside down, changed many things, including in-person contact and exchange with customers and partners, which is actually very important for us. Many exhibitions were canceled, postponed or moved to a virtual format. Unfortunately, the same happened to our in-house exhibition, the SPS Nuremberg.
These are all reasons why Bühler Motor has decided to have its own virtual in-house exhibition. Visit our virtual house to get an overview of who Bühler Motor is, in which markets we are represented and what we can do for you as a system supplier of drive solutions.
The current situation concerning Covid-19 is not always easy to handle, especially for families with school-age children - this is even more difficult in families, who sometimes lack the hardware for digital participation in class. Not only is it impossible to participate in video conferences, with which the classes can at least virtually get together again, without the appropriate equipment, access to exercise sheets and other information from school is often already blocked.
In order to support families in this situation, Bühler Motor has provided the Theodor Billroth School in Nuremberg with eight notebooks that we are not using. Doing so we help children to learn and communicate with their classmates. Despite the difficult economic times for us as a company, we are making an important and valuable contribution to society that makes us proud. In this way, we ensure that social differences are less important for school success in times when the technical infrastructure is a fundamental necessity. The computers have already been distributed by the head of school Ms. Söhnlein, who is very happy about the great opportunity that this offer is giving her students and their families.
On October 18th, 2018, the Buehler Motor Plant in Monheim was awarded the title "Top Employer" by the business development association, Donauries e.V.
The “Top-Employer” label from Donauries is only awarded to companies which take special responsibility for employees, the environment, and safety. This is especially true in the field of education and training; we have implemented many initiatives for employees that make us a very attractive employer. Additionally, we have a partnership with a local middle school; where we offer a wide range of technical apprenticeship positions, and for graduates, they have the possibility to become a skilled worker in training. Likewise, we support our employees in individual training, and we also offer adult education opportunities, such as skilled worker training for machine and plant operators.
We are very proud of this award, and we will make every effort to continue to live up to the privilege of accepting this award.

On June 22, 2018, Bühler Motor was able to successfully complete our global transition to the IATF 16949: 2016 Quality Management Standard. This new standard replaces ISO/TS 16949:2009 and is applicable for companies that manufacture and sell into the automotive industry.
Audits were successfully completed at all relevant Bühler Motor locations and interim approval has been granted. Official certificates will be provided to us by our Auditors before September 2018.
Of course, Bühler Motor continues to maintain certifications to ISO 9001:2015, EN 9100:2018 and ISO 14001:2015.
