Buehler Motor wins GM award once again

Buehler Motor plant in Chihuahua, Mexico, receives General Motors Supplier Quality Excellence Award

Nuremberg, 29th July 2021 - Buehler Motor's production plant in Chihuahua, Mexico, was honored on June 22, 2021, with the General Motors Supplier Quality Excellence Award for the year 2020. The Buehler Motor plant in the Czech Republic already received this award in 2017.

General Motors only gives this award to suppliers that have met or exceeded a very stringent set of quality performance criteria and achieved cross-functional support from the entire GM organization for the previous calendar year.

Due to the unprecedented events of the COVID19 pandemic, award certificates were delivered electronically with a congratulatory video message to the honorees from GM Executive Director Rick Demuynck and GM's Global Regional Leadership team.

"Especially in a year like this, we are very proud of this award and thank General Motors for the great collaboration and trust they have placed in us. The Corona pandemic has presented us all with special challenges. The fact that our tireless commitment to GM has now been appropriately recognized with this award is of course great and an incentive to further optimize our customer orientation. My thanks go in particular to all Bühler Motor colleagues who are active worldwide in a wide variety of functions for our customer General Motors," says Mark Furtwängler, CEO of Bühler Motor GmbH.

"Together with the Supplier of the Year awards we have received in recent years, this Supplier Quality Award represents a recognition of the efforts of the entire Buehler Motor Team working successfully with the GM Team whatever the challenge might be. A global OEM in times of change needs global but also agile and flexible suppliers like Bühler Motor who can deliver. Also from my side, thank you and congratulations to our colleagues in Chihuahua," adds Karl Wagner, President and General Manager Buehler Motor Inc, NC, USA.

122 suppliers from 16 countries were honored.
