Buehler Motor enters the Indian market

Future-oriented with a joint venture

Nuremberg, 16^th November 2022 – In a ceremonious atmosphere, representatives of Uno Minda Ltd, India, and Bühler Motor GmbH met on November 16th for the signing of a joint venture agreement in the town hall of Triberg, in the Black Forest. Uno Minda Ltd. and Bühler Motor GmbH will found a joint venture in India, named Uno Minda Buehler Motor Private Ltd. in India.

The site selected for the signing of the contract was not chosen arbitrarily. Triberg marks the birthplace of Bühler Motor GmbH, which has now agreed with Uno Minda to work together on the joint development, production, and marketing of electric drive solutions for electrified 2- and 3-wheelers for the Indian market.

Buehler Motor's development expertise in the field of drive technology and micromobility and Uno Minda's exceptional customer and market knowledge in the target region form the basis for the collaboration. The start of production is scheduled for the end of 2023. By then, a joint production plant and a local supply chain will have been established in India.
